Lend Your Voice

What makes Talking Stick the authoritative resource for campus housing professionals? The magazine’s editorial choices are guided by the ACUHO-I Strategic Plan and a commitment to addressing the ACUHO-I core curriculum. Volunteer members of the Talking Stick Advisory Panel and a wide range of volunteer authors also help identify pertinent topics and stories as they offer their expertise and experience to strengthen the campus housing community.

If you are an ACUHO-I member – either as part of an institution or an industry partner – you can add your voice to the Talking Stick in several ways.

  • Feature stories offer in-depth and multi-faceted examinations of a topic. Approximately 2,500-3,000 words.
  • Department stories provide a more focused look and rely on fewer sources than features. Approximately 1,500-2,000 words.
  • First Person columns allow a more personal viewpoint of campus housing subjects. Approximately 750-1,000 words.
  • Spotlight columns profile new construction and renovation projects.
  • Snapshot columns introduce readers to the diverse world of ACUHO-I members. Let us know about a colleague you think people should know better.
