Each year, a select number of senior housing and residence life professionals are invited to the exclusive ACUHO-I State of the Profession event. This event, limited to approximately 100 attendees, brings together some of the leading voices to engage with powerful thought leaders from both inside and outside of higher education. When you participate in this event, you will connect with peers, expand your thinking, exchange strategies, and gain a greater understanding of the conditions that will affect the future needs of campus housing. Simply put, you won’t look at your position or your campus the same way again.
Paradigm-shifting Programming
This year, the Symposium will take place on the campus of UC San Diego in their newly opened Theatre District Living and Learning Neighborhood/8th College. This Neighborhood provides housing to 2,000 undergraduate students. Survivance is an eleven-story building which offers both apartment and residential hall style living spaces to approximately 400 residents. The top floor includes a conference center that will be the programming location for this year’s State of the Profession. Please see the hotel tab for information on booking your stay in La Jolla.
2025 Strategic Topics
Each State of the Profession identifies strategic topics to address based on environmental factors impacting the field and feedback from association leadership. We then pursue key industry, scholarly, governmental, non-governmental organizations, educational leaders, etc. to share with us their unique perspectives on the identified questions for that year.
